FAQ
How long are courses in Moodle Archive?
Currently, the Moodle Archive houses courses from Fall 2022 - Summer 2024. Every two years, the archive containing the past courses will be deleted for good and replaced with the past two most recent school years. This means that in the Summer of 2026, the current Moodle Archive (Fall 2022 - Summer 2024) will no longer be available. Current Moodle courses (Fall 2024 - Summer 2026) will then be transferred to the Moodle Archive server and will remain there for two years.
What can I do to ensure my course materials aren't lost?
Courses found on the Moodle Archive will be safely stored and are accessible. After two years from the last batch has passed, these courses will be deleted for good. To prepare for this transition, we encourage you to take the following steps:
- Keep a copy of all course files on Google Drive
- Download Moodle courses from the Moodle Archive and store the Moodle MBZ file on Google Drive
- Put all course files on Google Drive instead of uploading them to Moodle, and use the URL option in Moodle to link to files in Google Drive
