Problem

I would like to uninstall a printer on a Windows computer. 

Environment

The article applies to employees with Gustavus-owned Windows machines.

Resolution

You will not be able to uninstall printers independently. Windows requires administrative access to uninstall printers.  As of November 8th, 2023 the wider Gustavus campus will no longer have administrative access. You will need to request these changes through GTS.

Cause

Some printers may no longer be in service and therefore have no need to remain installed.
