Class Doesn't appear in My Moodle Dashboard

Problem

I do not see my course on my Moodle dashboard.

 

Environment

The article applies to all Gustavus Moodle users.

 

Resolution

Your Moodle course may not appear if you have the course overview set to show courses in a time period that the course in question wouldn't fit.

  1. Log in to Moodle at moodle.gac.edu/
  2. Under the course overview, click the view option on the left.
  3. Choose In Progress, Future, or Past depending on which category would best fit the course in question, or select All to view all courses you have taken
  4. If the course is still missing, try changing the view option to Removed from view
    • If the course is there, you can add it back to regular view by clicking the three dots on the card and selecting Restore to view

If you still cannot find your course, your professor may have hidden the course until the semester starts.

 

Cause

Moodle has the ability to show courses in the past, future, and in progress, as well as the ability to hide courses from your dashboard.
