Accessing the Employee Remote Access Server (Windows)

Problem

I want to connect to the remote access server for the first time.

 

Environment

The article applies to Gustavus community members with an active Gustavus account, trying to connect to the employee remote access server.

 

Resolution

  1. Visit https://virtual-lab.gac.edu
  2. Click VMWare Horizon HTML Access
  3. Log in using your Gustavus username and password.
  4. Click Remote Access
  5. There will be a prompt to grant permission for full screen. Choose either OK or Cancel.
  6. If you need advanced features such as connecting a USB drive to the Remote Access server, please contact the Technology Helpline.

 

Cause

Visiting Virtual Lab to access the Remote Access is now the preferred option of using the Remote Access Server.
