Problem
Browser extensions and plugins can make our online work easier; but they can also introduce serious security risks. Even trusted plugins can be compromised or quietly collect personal data, creating vulnerabilities that affect not only your device but the broader Gustavus network.
Environment
The article applies to anyone utilizing the Google Chrome web browser on a computer.
Resolution

Open Google Chrome.

Click the three dots (⋮) in the upper-right corner.

Go to Extensions > Manage Extensions.

Review the list of installed extensions.

Use the toggle next to each to disable temporarily or click remove to remove permanently.
