Overview

The Samsung Interactive Classroom Display is a 4K touchscreen TV.

These interactive displays are currently located in Confer 222 and 230.

 

Details

Power on/Power off

Tap power on the front right panel to turn on, press and hold to power off. When holding to power off a menu will appear to verify power off. 

To adjust volume and brightness, tap the arrow on either side of the screen, tap menu, adjust volume or brightness on menu that appears. 

If the TV does not default to the Home Screen it can be accessed by tapping the arrow on either side of the screen, tap Menu, choose Interactive. 

Drawing on the Display

At any time, on any image that you are projecting, you can use either your finger or the pens on the front of the display to write on the display. Tap the arrows on either side of the screen, tap the draw icon, choose pen or brush, tap again to choose color and width.  You can also tap the More icon and then insert for many more options.  Any note or image you create can be saved to the TV.  From the Home Screen you will be able to find your saved images in the Finder program. 

Wired HDMI Display Connection

  1. Connect the HDMI cable the port on the wall and connect the cable to your computer via USB-C adapter or HDMI connection.
  2. The image on the laptop should be displayed automatically. You can choose HDMI by tapping the arrow on either side of the screen, tap menu, then tapping HDMI. 
  3. The volume and brightness can be controlled by tapping the arrow, tapping menu, then adjusting. 

Wireless Projection on Computer

  1. If the TV is not already on the home screen, it can be accessed by tapping the arrow on either side of the screen, tap menu, then tap Interactive. 
  2. From the Home Screen choose Screen Share.  There is a user guide in the lower right. 
  3. You will need to install a program on your device called Samsung Screen Share. It can be found at https://sec.ifpserver.com/downloads.  Please contact the Helpline for assistance installing this program on your Gustavus owned device. 
  4. Open Screen Share on your device then enter the code on the TV. Choose Screen Share on the menu then choose what you wish to display from your computer. You will be able to control you device from the display.
