Printing from a Chromebook or Other ChromeOS Device

Problem


How do I print from my Chromebook or other ChromeOS device?

 

Environment


The article applies to those printing from a ChromeOS device. Mobility Print supports Chrome OS with Chrome version 69+ for Chrome apps. Supported devices include Chrome Books from Acer, Asus, HP, Lenovo, and Toshiba.

 

Resolution


 

  1. Point a web browser to http://marco.gac.edu:9163/setup
  2. Click the button Download to download Mobility Print
  3. Run the Mobility Print installer.
  4. Select Gusprint and Gusprint-Color,  and click Next 
  5. Enter your Gustavus credentials, click Next to finish the installation.
  6. Open the file you wish to print
  7. Press Control and P to bring up the print menu
  8. Select your desired printer (GusPrint or GusPrint Color), edit any advanced print settings, and click Print 
  9. Walk up to any student printer and tap your Gustavus ID Card. A map of accessible student printers can be found here: gustavus.edu/maps/?filter=Group:%20Public%20Printers
  10. On the printer, tap the jobs pending release tab
  11. Tap the jobs you would like to release and tap release

Note: If you select the Remember me checkbox, your device will remember your login details for that printer for one week.
