Problem
After migrating an email list to a Google Group, email messages get sent to the list containing a footer.
Environment
The article applies to all Google Workspace accounts.
Resolution

Sign into Google Groups.

Click on My Groups

Locate the group you would like to manage and select Manage Group

Click on Settings
-
Click on Email Options

To add or remove the default footer, check or un-check the box Include Default Groups Footer.

Click on Save
Cause
Google Groups by default will contain a footer. We recommend using a footer on groups where membership is optional; containing instructions for un-subscribing or contacting the group owner/manager.
