Problem

I cannot add my GusMail account to iOS mail.

Environment

The article applies to Gustavus users who use iPhones/iPads.

Resolution

Due to security reasons, users are not able to add GusMail to the iOS mail app. To view your GusMail on your iPhone/iPad:

1. Open the App Store on your device
2. Search for GMail and click Get
3. Open GMail and add a Google account
4. Type in your Gustavus email address/password, and approve the two-factor prompt

Cause

Due to iOS versions not all having the latest security updates, Google recommends using their app for the most secure method of checking Google mail accounts.
