Overview

A password/passphrase is required to check Gustavus email and to access many parts of the Gustavus website.

When picking a password, pick one that is easy to remember, but difficult to guess.  We recommend of string of words that makes sense to you but wouldn't be easily guessed by anyone else. You should have a unique password for every account you create. Remember, your password protects both your privacy and identity.

Details

For your Gustavus account, there are certain requirements for setting your password.

Your passphrase must:

• be at least 15 characters in length
• not be exposed in any past known breaches (our reset tool will check for this and will not let you set a passphrase that has been exposed in a past known data breach).

Your passphrase cannot contain:

• the following special characters: [, ', ", or \
